About the Role:

The Technology Risk Manager role is a key position within the project to ensure the successful delivery of a major program of work. This role will provide support to the Program Executive and senior management in the identification, assessment, management, and reporting of program risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate RAID logs for each project within the program and the program itself.
  • Report project risks to the program risk level for visibility to senior management to act on potential significant impacts on agreed program delivery parameters.
  • Effectively communicate and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Provide regular reports on project and program performance and overall health to senior leadership and program sponsors.
  • Manage related risks in operational areas and provide Senior Executive status reporting on programs and project risk for senior governance forums.
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements within program scope and escalate issues quickly.
  • Ensure project leads understand the importance of adhering to their regulatory obligations and responsibility for implementation of company policies and procedures.
  • Support and facilitate reviews and gap analysis of compliance with all relevant Risk Policies and Standards within the program.
  • Provide thought leadership on control design and testing within the program, bringing in industry best practices and recognized external frameworks.
  • Design and maintain the controls testing operating model to support the program.
  • Deliver efficient testing, taking a risk-based approach and leveraging a range of testing techniques.

Requirements:

  • Education to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Continued professional development to a high level.
  • Good understanding and application of Program and Project Management competencies.
  • Good understanding of Financial and Operational Risk Management, including policies and standards, and assessment within a regulated environment.
  • Experience working in a Technology team and broad knowledge of Technologies and Security concepts is desirable.
  • Experience working within a 1st line operational risk function (2nd line risk experience also desirable).
  • Good understanding and application of change management competencies.
  • Ability to manage relationships and maintain trusted relationships with team and peers.
  • Ability to influence and build productive relationships with key program stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge of project management methodology and tools, including software.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
