Job Overview

The FP&A Team at Experian is on the lookout for a proficient Reporting Specialist within the Finance/Corporate sector to assist with North American operations. This role will involve overseeing various reporting processes and outputs, including but not limited to: Strategic Planning, Budgeting, Monthly Management Close (MMC), and Monthly Executive Close (MEC). Key reports will encompass: Trading Summary for the North American Region, Headcount Reporting, and additional high-visibility reports presented to senior executives such as the Regional CFO, Regional CEO, and Global CFO.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following key duties and responsibilities:

  • Demonstrating a quick learning ability and proficiency in reporting tools such as Hyperion, MINT, Tableau, etc.
  • Executing multiple reporting tasks based on established schedules and ad hoc requests, including but not limited to: Strategic Planning, Budgeting, MMC, and MEC.
  • Consolidating business unit reports, ensuring accuracy through validation of figures, commentary, and thorough checks of balances.
  • Managing the regional calendar for various cycles: Month-End Close, Forecasting, Budgeting, Strategic Planning, etc.
  • Collaborating with the Global Team to align deliverable schedules.
  • Distributing consolidated reports to Global Central Teams and senior executives, including CFOs and CEOs, while addressing inquiries related to the provided reports.
  • Driving process enhancements and standardization across financial reporting and analytical models.
  • Adhering to service level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for routine processes.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in English at an advanced level.
  • A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in Finance.
  • At least 4 years of experience in reporting roles.
  • Essential skills for this position include attention to detail, accuracy, and effective time management.
  • Strong experience with management reporting tools.
  • Proven experience in consolidating and generating reports for CFOs and CEOs.
  • Familiarity with month-end processes, reporting, fixed assets, general ledger, account reconciliation, and P&L analysis/variance explanations.
  • Experience in presenting and collaborating with senior leadership.
  • Ability to work with intricate system details while summarizing and clarifying extensive information, including budget and forecast variances.
  • Excellent written communication skills, enabling effective interaction across all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated capability to foster continuous improvement and resolve issues within a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines and work independently.
  • Commitment to integrity in research and analysis, ensuring accuracy.
  • Advanced Excel skills are required; familiarity with financial systems and tools such as OBIEE, Hyperion Planning/Essbase, and SmartView is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Business Administration, Certified Public Accountant designation, or other relevant Master's degree is considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of VBA/macros and Power BI reporting tools is advantageous.

Additional Information

This is a permanent remote role. No relocation assistance is available.
