Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough verification calls to applicants/customers to assess fraud or deception indicators.
- Verify applicant/customer information using online sources, third-party databases, and internal records.
- Analyze and recommend decisions for alerts consisting of fraud indicators, adverse media, and sanctions.
- Maintain the Watch List database and assist in written client/customer communications as needed.
- Participate in department meetings to educate employees on fraud prevention best practices and company policies.
- Assist in system improvement initiatives relating to account verification and fraud detection/mitigation processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in financial crimes, including AML, fraud, customer service, and/or collections.
- Effective organizational and multi-tasking skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Desire to learn or expand knowledge of fraud detection tools and risk mitigation techniques in a fast-paced global fintech environment.
- Effective communication, both written and verbal.
- Ability to conduct research, work independently, and make investigation decisions within established guidelines and procedures.
