The Role

The Senior Business Consultant plays a critical role in providing expertise throughout the implementation stages of our products. This position requires good knowledge of accounting and core banking, with a proven track record in delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience working with clients or partners, leading the implementation of specific products as part of overall project delivery.

This role involves handling day-to-day challenges and resolving issues as they arise. The Senior Business Consultant should have a detailed understanding of one particular product area, as well as awareness of industry and market trends. They will also contribute to the Centre of Excellence, providing input on Product and Process Improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Focus on complex functional problems and provide guidance to less experienced consultants.
  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills with all contacts.
  • Succesfully implement accounting products.
  • Take a lead role in ensuring the contribution of others adds value.
  • Coordinate with maintenance groups to resolve product problems.
  • Analyze client business requirements and relate them to our products' capability.
  • Identify and validate gaps, proposing solutions (e.g., workarounds or changes in processes).
  • Define and validate customization needs for our products.
  • Prepare specifications for local development and ensure Technical Consultants understand these specifications.
  • Prepare and perform configuration of our products through static and semi-static data installation.
  • Prepare and perform functional testing to support User Acceptance Testing.
  • Review client organization, processes, and workflows, proposing a 'post-picture' to maximize benefits from our products.
  • Make recommendations on best banking practices to the Project Manager and alert him to potential risks or legal requirements.

Requirements

  • Education and experience in finance or banking software consultancy.
  • Fluent English language skills - verbal and written. Additional language skills are beneficial.
  • Technical knowledge: A good understanding of financial and banking processes around Core & Payment products.
  • Product knowledge: Temenos portfolio with expert knowledge in Payments or Funds Transfer. Strong awareness of Industry and market developments, good overall company knowledge.
  • Fully understood and able to deploy the TEMENOS Implementation Methodology.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
