Citi seeks a highly analytical and detail-oriented FP&A Analyst 2 to join its ICG Brazil O&T team. This individual will play a critical role in providing Management with insightful analysis and forward-looking financial results.
About the Role:
This is an individual contributor position that requires collaboration with the broader Finance team to create reports and analyses that gauge Citi's alignment with forecasted performance. The overall objective is to utilize specialty knowledge to drive business decisions through data-driven insights.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in forward-looking activities, including annual budgeting and monthly outlook estimation processes.
- Develop and provide financial analytics support to local FP&A teams and Operation & Technology partners in Brazil, including trend and variance analysis, research, and interpretation of factual information.
- Interact with Operation & Technology partners in Brazil and Regional to gather business inputs as part of the assumptions and drivers to prepare accurate Expenses forecasts.
- Have regular interaction with ICG Brazil Front Expenses team supporting cost allocation analysis for business.
- Manage the implementation of procedures and report development.
- Support digitalization initiatives in the team, leveraging on digital tools to recommend and implement optimizations to processes and reports currently used in the team.
- Adhere to key controls for financial planning, forward-looking, and close monitoring processes within the scope handled, providing evidence and assurance through records management of risk & control compliance.
- Work on ad-hoc requests based on business needs.
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administrator, Engineer, or a related field with at least 3-6 years of experience.
- Preferred with more than 1-2 years of Planning and Analysis experience.
- Understanding of Banking, finance products is preferable but not essential.
- Intermediate financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.
- Keen interest in business and economic environment.
- Financial Statements Acumen.
- Bilingual: English and Spanish.
- Portuguese is a plus.
- Medium-Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
- Knime and Tableau knowledge is a plus.
- Project management skills is a plus.
