Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and leading project activities throughout the plant.

This role serves as a project engineer and works with functional areas of the plant to develop improvements and resolve day-to-day issues.

The Manufacturing Engineer actively seeks opportunities for improvement and ensures that all tasks comply with set safety and compliance procedures.

About the Role

  • Determines project scope, sets preliminary budgets, and manages project schedules' goals.
  • Identifies opportunities for capital improvement and monitors purchasing demands to ensure efficient manufacturing plant operations.
  • Runs tests to ensure equipment operation is safe, maintainable, and produces expected product quality.
  • Communicates project updates, milestones, and upgrades to Engineering Managers.
  • Works closely with training personnel to provide training on new or modified equipment.
  • Evaluates and enforces compliance with Contractor Rules and Regulations during project execution.
  • Collaborates with plant management to develop feasible solutions for project issues.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  1. Project Planning: Develops plans for project execution, including determining project scope, setting preliminary budgets, and managing project schedules' goals.
  2. Capital Improvement: Identifies opportunities for capital improvement and monitors purchasing demands to ensure efficient manufacturing plant operations.
  3. Equipment Testing: Runs tests to ensure equipment operation is safe, maintainable, and produces expected product quality.
  4. Communication: Communicates project updates, milestones, and upgrades to Engineering Managers.
  5. Training: Works closely with training personnel to provide training on new or modified equipment.
  6. Compliance: Evaluates and enforces compliance with Contractor Rules and Regulations during project execution.
  7. Solutions Development: Collaborates with plant management to develop feasible solutions for project issues.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • BA, BS or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • English proficiency is highly preferred.
