Financial Clearing Specialist I

Syniverse is a world leader in connectedness, and we're looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Financial Clearing Specialist I. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in managing relationships with our Roaming Partners and other Financial Clearing Agents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Produce all credit/debit notes on behalf of clients.
• Liaise with partners to build relationships, resolve queries, and relay information.
• Act as back-up support to an assigned individual and perform ad-hoc tasks upon Lead/Manager request.
• Monitor internal Service Level Agreements (SLA) and escalate unresolved problems to Lead/Manager when appropriate.
• Raise tickets via Swift for customer service requests and ensure closure within target completion date.
• Perform billing process and generate reconciliation reports.
• Run process cut-offs as required and process FX trading.
• Generate payment lists, download, and store payment information.
• Perform payable invoice reconciliation process, including approval or adjustment of invoices received from roaming partners.
• Follow up on unapproved/missing invoices in line with BA GSMA documents associated with the payable invoice resolution process.
• Resolve general day-to-day roaming partner problems.
• Respond to requests for information from roaming partners and internal colleagues.
• Amend positions, set up manual payments, and raise interest invoices.
• Load data into the system where not automated.
• Monitor loaded data and refer or escalate issues when appropriate.
• Daily allocation of receipts for assigned clients, including clearing of unallocated positions.
• Manage clients' debt levels in adherence to SLA/KPI specific to client or generally set as per Service Agreement or GSMA standards; escalate unresolved problems to Lead/Manager as appropriate.
• Run, check, and send reports or due service information to the client.
• Allocate issues and escalate to Client Services Manager if required.
• Act as second support to an assigned individual, responsible for managing their clients during any absence.
• Manual trade requests, funding validation, and follow-up till completion.
• Regular customer reviews and conducting conference calls, video conferences, and attending site visits.
• Requests for information related to the client from internal colleagues.
• Requests for information to the client.
• Create, update, and maintain agreement details for IOT transactions.
Requirements:
• Degree in financial/economics studies or accounting qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years accounting/finance experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Intermediate Excel user skills.
