About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-end technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a proven track record of leading technical teams. They will be responsible for overseeing the technical architecture and design of web solutions, as well as mentoring junior team members and enforcing coding guidelines and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead client presentations and work closely with other groups such as Creative, Business, and Technology.
  • Code review, mentoring, and enforcing coding guidelines and best practices for junior teammates.
  • Help coordinate the team's technical communication with other groups.
  • Own the technical architecture and design of web solutions and oversee front-end development activities.
  • Gather user and business requirements, map them to technical solutions, and estimate development tasks.
  • Ensure peers maintain clear and concise documentation.
  • Own software release activities, including code reviews, client demos, and QA hand-offs.
  • Debug complex issues, provide root cause analysis, and establish project scaffolding and automation tools.
  • Create training programs for technologies within expertise.
  • Participate in Capability activities and initiatives.
  • Setup regular one-on-one meetings for coaching, feedback, and career development.

Requirements:

  • Advanced English Proficiency (B2+/C1 reading, writing, and conversation).
  • At least 5 years of experience working with front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery).
  • In-depth knowledge of cross-browser and responsive development.
  • Work experience with tools such as process automation & scripting (Webpack or Gulp) and pre-processing tools (SASS, LESS).
  • Minimum 2 years of proven track record as a technical team leader, with experience managing teams of up to 4 people.
  • Knowledge of design patterns and working with mainstream libraries and frameworks.
  • Capable of designing and choosing a quality assurance process, including unit tests, load testing, and performance testing.
  • Capable of writing code compliant with modern accessibility and SEO guidelines.
  • Capable of working with new technologies and building proof-of-concept prototypes.
  • Capable of troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis of web platform issues.
  • Additional experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and working with other disciplines to deliver websites.
