About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role for a skilled Cloud Network Engineer to join our team at GFT Technologies SE. As a key member of our agile enterprise cloud services engineering team, you will play a critical role in delivering projects and migrating applications to the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud network architectures for our clients, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to migrate applications to the cloud, leveraging AWS services such as Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPC, ALB, NLB, PrivateLink, and EKS.
  • Develop and maintain cloud network infrastructure, including configuration, testing, and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot complex network connectivity issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
  • Work with business units to migrate their accounts to new connectivity models and applications to centralized connectivity platforms.
  • Setup and test connectivity to new cloud accounts, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Document current configurations, feature additions, and project status, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Collaborate with a global team to support cloud platforms in multiple regions, ensuring consistency and quality.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience with AWS networking services in a hands-on, day-to-day role in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, including the ability to identify root causes of network connectivity issues.
  • Experience with AWS services such as Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPC, ALB, NLB, PrivateLink, EKS, and other networking services.
  • Experience migrating applications from on-premise to cloud or upgrading shared applications or platforms in AWS.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex routing scenarios spanning cloud and on-premise.
  • Experience working with multiple Business Units and leadership from multiple teams.
  • Detail-oriented and able to follow through, with excellent communication skills.

Desired or Nice to Have Expertise:

  • Learning attitude and desire to learn, with a willingness to help the delivery team reach business goals.
  • Experience with cloud networking concepts in other cloud providers (Azure, GCP, OCI).
  • Experience with Checkpoint firewalls, Citrix Netscaler load balancers, or SecureSphere WAF devices.
  • Automation skills with CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible.
  • Coding skills in Python.
  • AWS Advanced Networking – Specialty.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner.
