Job Summary
The Logistics Manager will oversee the warehouse operation in Heredia, Costa Rica, serving Central America and the Caribbean region. The successful candidate will ensure a safe, efficient, and reliable operation, aligning with established goals, objectives, and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: motivate, direct, and lead the workforce to achieve company objectives, lead safety practices, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Operational Supervision: supervise warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, on-time shipments, quality, and a safe working environment.
- Cost Management: monitor employee work schedules to minimize costs and meet business financial goals, identify opportunities to reduce distribution costs.
- People Management: select, coach, counsel, and develop employees to meet business objectives, establish and communicate goals and objectives.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in Logistics and Warehouse management. Operational experience in a leadership role is essential, with expertise in developing and initiating continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.
Competencies
The Logistics Manager must possess excellent analytical and decision-making skills, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of Lean Management, Customer Focus, Project Management, Effective Communication, and Data analysis skills.
