Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for identifying critical areas for improvement in our technology, ensuring data security efficiency, and monitoring and analyzing security events using cloud-native security tools and SIEM solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and address potential security threats in our global network environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security strategies and best practices
• Analyze security events and identify trends to improve overall security posture
• Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies to ensure our security measures remain effective

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in cybersecurity, computer science, systems engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of systems administration experience, 3-5 years of cloud security operations experience for a large-scale company, and 3-5 years of proven experience in software or networking engineering
• Excellent understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud services and infrastructure
• Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies within the Azure environment
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management principles and tools
