About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Risk Management Specialist to join our Global Internal Audit team. In this critical role, you'll play a key part in delivering independent assurance over internal controls, influencing risk management strategies, and driving organizational improvements.
Reporting directly to the Regional Audit Director, you'll work closely with senior stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks across various business functions. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping our governance, risk, and control environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and scope local and global audits, collaborating with management to identify key risks and associated controls.
- Execute key control testing, discuss findings with management, and project manage audit execution.
- Review workpapers, manage team member performance, and track execution of agreed actions.
- Present findings to senior managers and agree on proposed actions to drive positive change in the organization.
- Cultivate detailed knowledge of processes and systems across the organization and provide proactive risk advice to business management.
- Mentor team members, provide feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement in our methodology and ways of working.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 6+ years of relevant work experience in business operational audit, financial audit, or top-tier consulting organizations.
- An undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited institution in risk management, business, technology, or information security-related fields.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, and CGEIT are preferred.
- Data analytics experience (e.g., SQL, CAATs, IDEA, ACL, Monarch, Tableau, Spotfire) is highly valued.
- Excellent leadership skills, communication abilities, and a willingness to take charge, set objectives, and drive results.
