Job Title: Senior Financial Leader - Finance & Accounting

About the Job:

The position champions and implements property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand's target customer and property employees. The role provides the financial expertise to enable the successful implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives while maximizing the return on investment.

About You:

  • A 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or a related major is required; no work experience is necessary for this position.

Your Responsibilities:

Supporting Strategic Planning and Decision Making
  1. Analyze financial data and market trends.
  2. Assist in analyzing information, forecasting sales against expenses, and creating annual budget plans.
  3. Compile information, analyze, and monitor actual sales against projected sales.
  4. Assist in developing means to improve profit, including estimating cost and benefit, exploring new business opportunities, etc.
  5. Analyze differences between actual budget wages and forecasted wages for more efficient budget planning.
  6. Think creatively and practically to develop, execute, and implement new business plans.
  7. Protect and strengthen our competitive advantage by advocating and supporting sound business and financial decision making.
  8. Implement a system of appropriate controls to manage business risks.
Leading Accounting Teams
  1. Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocate sound financial/business decision making; demonstrate honesty/integrity; lead by example.
  2. Communicate the goals and owner priorities to subordinates in a clear and precise manner.
  3. Provide excellent leadership by assigning team members and other departments' managers clear accountability backed by appropriate authority.
  4. Hold staff accountable for successful performance.
Developing and Maintaining Finance and Accounting Goals
  1. Support property strategy from a finance and accounting perspective.
  2. Submit reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines.
  3. Ensure profits and losses are documented accurately.
  4. Achieve and exceed goals, including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.
  5. Ensure appropriate corrections are made to audit results if necessary.
  6. Review audit issues to ensure accuracy.
Managing Projects and Policies
  1. Monitor all taxes that apply, ensuring they are current, collected, and/or accrued.
  2. Generate and provide accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
  3. Ensure compliance with standard and local operating procedures (SOPs and LSOPs).
  4. Oversee internal, external, and regulatory audit processes.
  5. Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  6. Ensure the P&L is accurate (e.g., costs are properly matched to revenue, costs are recorded in the proper accounts).

Salary Range: $85,000 - $120,000 per year
