Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  1. Execute, coordinate, and oversee the accounting cycle activities during the month, in coordination with the Accounting Director.
  2. Coordinate with the rest of the team to ensure timely completion of accounting tasks and responsibilities.
  3. Perform, follow up, and control all month-end close activities with the accounting team, and coordinate with other areas.
  4. Prepare and reconcile subledger of balance sheet accounts assigned.
  5. Review and approve subledger of balance sheet accounts prepared by the rest of the team.
  6. Prepare, coordinate, and review with the team, the necessary reports requested every month.
  7. Perform weekly and final posting of accounting transactions and prepare information for monthly reports for the cost accounting area.
  8. Timely review and analysis of expenses booked.
  9. Prepare, control, reconcile, and coordinate intercompany transactions and continuous communication with corporate accounting department.
  10. Support corporate in transactions and special requests during the month.
  11. Review and approve local and international payments weekly.
  12. Prepare, review, and approve journal entries of general accounting.
  13. Work with other departments to resolve issues that impact the accounting process.
  14. Execute, manage, and supervise internal control systems.
  15. Lead improvements on the accounting processes.
  16. Review and follow up on all balance sheet GL accounts reconciliations and ensure timely update on Blackline.
  17. Develop and support the implementation of accounting-administrative policies and procedures on accounting process.
  18. Ensure statutory ledger meets local regulations and IFRS standards for local purposes as well as all taxes area of the company.
  19. Support the implementation of policies, procedures, or others to assure the company follows the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), the International Accounting Standards (IAS), and the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and/or any other standard required by regulatory organizations or Corporate.
  20. Support the Corporate audit process and coordinate it with the CR accounting team.
  21. Prepare, manage, and oversee audits process, both regulatory and Statutory Financial Statements.
  22. Support, coordinate, and check over, any regulatory reports (for instance Operations annual report from PROCOMER – Free trade zone, but not limited to any of those).
  23. Provide ad hoc support or assistance of other activities of the Accounting or Financial departments.
  24. Follow up and support the development of the careers of the positions Senior Accountant and Accounting Assistant.
