Job Title: Data Architect and Analytics Specialist

At Snap Finance, we're seeking a talented Data Architect and Analytics Specialist to join our team. As an integral part of our analytics organization, you'll play a crucial role in designing and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable data solutions.

This exciting opportunity allows you to leverage your technical expertise and passion for data analysis to drive business growth. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, developers, data scientists, and more, to ensure consistent, accurate data delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders to resolve data-related technical issues and support their data needs.
  • Apply security best practices to safeguard data and ensure compliance.
  • Develop Data Marts, Metrics Catalogues, and Feature Sets to support analytics activities.
  • Build and maintain data models, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Create tools for monitoring data quality and generating alerts.
  • Identify, design, and implement process improvements to enhance scalability and efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on data integrity and pipeline issues.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with SQL relational databases and data warehouses, including proficiency in writing SQL queries.
  • Programming skills in Python, with knowledge of grouping and window functions.
  • Understanding of data modeling best practices and source control systems like Git and GitHub.
  • Experience working with unstructured or semi-structured datasets and fundamental programming skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in R programming language.
  • Comfortable working with UNIX command line and automated workflows using Airflow, Argo, or Jenkins.
  • Container-based deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) services like S3, EC2, ECR, ELB, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.
  • Able to optimize SQL queries for high performance.

Education and Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other STEM field, or higher.
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience, with internship experience considered.
