The Analytic Data Manager plays a crucial role in leading and managing a diverse team of Associates supporting the Corporate Finance Group (CFG) and Project and Infrastructure Finance - Ratings & Research Support (RRS) functions.
This key responsibility includes assigning workload to provide critical financial and operational data for ratings and research within agreed-upon timeframes and data quality.
The Manager will lead their team on operational projects critical to supporting Moody's ratings and research, including leading operations and engaging with other teams in Moody's such as Moody's Analytics, Moody's Information Technology (MIT), Human Resources (HR), Compliance, Business Planning, and others.
The Strategic Financial Operations Manager has several responsibilities:
- Liaising with R&R and RRS to understand priorities
- Leading team's workflow allocation and resource plan by re-balancing portfolios across deliverables and projects
- Collaborating with business partners supporting operations (peers and other global managers)
To lead and develop Senior Associates, Associate, and Interns, the Manager will:
- Collaborate with HR talent advisers to source diverse talent
- Evaluate and improve training curriculum
- Provide ongoing formal and informal feedback to ensure development of team members
The role involves creating and maintaining high-quality data standards according to accuracy and process agreements, recommending and implementing operational improvements, including QC processes, building and leading project plans with clear achievements, deadlines, and communication plans.
Additionally, the Strategic Financial Operations Manager handles relationships with key partners, supports initiatives, addresses questions, manages training, and onboarding, working closely with IT to solve and improve technology and databases.
The ideal candidate should have an academic background in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, with an MBA or CFA being desirable.
Languages required include an advanced written and verbal command of English, with any additional language being considered a plus.
Experience and skills needed include 7+ years of demonstrated experience in operations, finance, accounting, financial statement analysis, or economics, with 2+ years of experience leading teams, ample experience working with financial data/statement analysis, ability to prioritize, focus, and work independently, adapt when unexpected occurs, excellent communicational, organizational, and administrative skills, results-oriented, strong problem-solving skills, customer focus, ability to take initiative, and multi-task.
