Person(s) hired for the **KCI **US **Cash Application Analyst(s) **will be responsible for receiving and posting cash payments to AR system as well as posting of correspondences, reviewing and analyzing explanations of benefits for accurate posting and final resolution to the AR system.
Full knowledge of the job is expected, and only general supervision and instructions are given for routine work.
He/she needs to work very thoroughly, and systematically as potential entry errors may cause moderate customer dissatisfaction and/or correction efforts.
Also, he/she will either ensure that the bank accounts and general ledger & sub-ledgers are aligned at each month-end and/or will ensure any disconnects between the general ledger and sub-ledgers agree/reconciled in a timely matter.
The goal of this role will be either to ensure the company presents an accurate reflection of the level of cash on our balance sheet or the ensure the appropriate balance is being presented on the Company's financial statements monthly.
The position reports to the Team Leader, Accounts Receivable/Cash Posting.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
**P **rincipal Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Post cash to the correct customer account including lockbox, wire batches, EFT batches, credit card transactions or other type of payments.
- Research and process offsets.
- Process of returned/NSF/void checks.
- Carry out denial and correspondence posting.
- Carry out Interest and Late Fees transactions.
- Identify Non-Receivable Related Payments, i.e.
misc.
cash receipts.
- Identify funds that belong to the other cash posing area and transfer fund accordingly to the respective group.
- Carry out adjustment processing.
- Identify small balance write offs at the time of cash posting.
- Identify duplicate payments received and transition the respective team.
- Identify receipts for accounts not yet invoiced.
- Identify payer not set up on patient account and notify respective team for resolution.
- Daily electronic sorting and scanning
- Participate in month end closing related activities in line with company closing schedule
- Complete all activities timely and in line with the country SLA's.
- Develop a deep and thorough understanding of the cash posting area and the processes within.
- Raise any issues/problems to your Team Leader as necessary.
- Identify and research discrepancies between bank account balances, and / or general ledger and sub ledger.
This may involve communication with Global Treasury Centers and 3M subsidiaries.
- Provide assistance during internal and external audits to provide support for audit requests.
- Compliance with SOX controls established for SSC.
**Education & Professional Certifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in process in Finance or Business Administration.
- Between 2-3 years of continuous experience in AP, AR, GL and reconciliations is highly preferred
- Advanced English and Spanish Highly client service and quality-oriented mindset;
- Excellent communication skills with transparency of issues
- Experience in process improvements
- ERP knowledge (Oracle, SAP etc.)

- Detailed oriented and enjoys working with operational processes
