The GBS San Jose Financial Services is a high-performing team responsible for the timely delivery of standardized financial processes on behalf of Biopharmaceutical Finance and their business partners for the Emerging Markets.
The organization performs certain Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Travel & Entertainment, Order-to-Cash, and other related activities from regionally centralized locations in San Jose, Costa Rica.
The GBS (Global Business Services) Financial Services - San Jose Procure-to-Pay Junior Analyst will be responsible for conducting key procure-to-pay activities such as day to day activities, basic support, solving issues related to P2P accounts, and troubleshooting purchase requisitions, purchase orders, vendor master data, and invoices/credits cases.
For this position it is required to have the ability to manage a high volume of requests, supporting the markets, and working along with stakeholders to provide excellent customer service in an accurate time.
The objective of this role is to enable GBS Procure to Pay to meet their business objectives by providing quality Procure to Pay analysis and overall business support for Site Leadership, market colleagues, and external vendors.
Position Responsibilities
- Organizes workload prioritizes and proactively follows up on outstanding items.
- Owns process resolution from start to finish, ensuring the best possible outcome.
- Works with P2P Management to find solutions to issues that may arise.
- Maintains, and when possible, exceeds metrics and goals.
- Takes initiative to support our Digital Finance strategy.
- Actively supports our GBS value proposition by keeping processes aligned with our delivery model and global standard, enhancing our internal controls structures.
- Supports, in-house processes, continuous improvement initiatives, and small project collaborations.
- Manage relationships with key contacts and colleagues of diverse backgrounds, including different departments, cultures, business units, and countries.
- Ensure the proper processes execution understanding our SOP, Work Instructions, Job Aids and Desktop Procedures and proposing updates when the documentations do not align with our day-to-day processes.
- Work with a variety of internal colleagues on implementing different initiatives throughout the P2P area.
- Supports the management team and other colleagues as needed.
- Provides guidance, training, and support to new colleagues.
- Knows and comprehends the cycle of the process they are involved, being able to assess the impact of his/her actions in a broader picture of the organization.
- Desire participation in Make it Possible initiatives across the site.
- Support departmental reporting as required.
- Strong compliance understanding and ensure commitment to the control environment through training and review.
- Self-motivated works of own initiative with guidance or support from Management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment where adaptability is imperative.

Education and Experience
- University degree/ongoing University studies or technical high school degree in a finance-related field.
- 0 - 2 Years' Experience

Technical Skills Requirements
- Basic Office Knowledge
- Basic accounting/finance knowledge
- Desired experience in multinationals, shared services or finance-related if applicable
- Intermediate English

Physical Position Requirements
- Standard Finance and Accounting Office work
- Ability to travel to attend meetings domestically and Internationally
