**Company Description**
- Develop and maintain AbbVie EHS global standards, policies, systems and programs applicable to regional commercial operations and R&D field operations.
- Provide EHS leadership and direction for senior commercial and R&D leaders at the region and affiliate levels through the use of performance updates and personal interactions.
- Ensure systems are in place to enable commercial operations and R&D field operations to operate in legal and ethical compliance with regard to EHS issues.
- Provide leadership, direction and management of all EHS designated personnel (professional and non-professional) in the Latin American AbbVie commercial affiliates and R&D field operations.
- Develop newly appointed qualified Non-EHS personnel and EHS professionals to ensure EHS compliance and program needs are met in each affiliate.
- Provide business perspective, strategic and tactical direction to develop and implement Commercial EHS initiatives in the AbbVie EHS&E Long Range Strategic Plan and Affiliate EHS Strategic Plans.
- Authority to represent AbbVie externally on matters related to EHS with external regulatory agencies and non-government organizations.
- Maintain a broad understanding of local and regional EHS regulations, practices, cultures and vehicle driving environments.
- Maintain and update IT reporting databases and generate monthly and quarterly EHS performance reports to region and affiliate senior leaders.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in safety, public safety, environmental, industrial hygiene or health physics.
Professional certification in EHS preferred.
- Experience of at least five years in Occupational Health and Environment
- Knowledge of EHS regulations and specific regulations / standards affecting transportation safety and office safety.
- Proven communication, training and consultant skills.
- ISO 14001 - ISO-45001-ISO 22301 Management Systems,Quality Management Systems/regulations (GMP, QSR, FDA, CAPA, ISO)
- Office, Visio, Project, One Vault, Compliance Wire, SAP, Power BI,Management of personnel and regulatory entities.
- Operational Excellence and Process Improvements.
- Certification of a competent person in working at heights
- Certification of a competent person in confined spaces.
**Desirable**:

- Master's degree in Environmental Management, Projects, Industrial
- Experience in the medical industry environment.
