The Ops Accounting Analyst 1 performs relatively complex assignments. Has direct impact on the business by ensuring the quality of the tasks or services provided. Works under little to no direct supervision. May service an expansive and/or diverse array of products/services. Applies working knowledge of technical and professional principles and concepts and in depth knowledge of team objectives. Understands how assigned duties contribute to the work of the team/unit and how the units coordinate their efforts and resources to achieve the objectives of the function. Ensures the quality and service of self and others. May recommend new options to enhance productivity in accordance with guidelines. Requires tact and diplomacy when exchanging complex or sensitive information with others. Is sensitive to audience diversity. Basic knowledge of the organization, the business and its policies required. Typically responsible for resolving basic to moderately complex problems based on practice and precedence around invoice regularization and basic fiscal/tax discrepancies. Able to assess applicability of similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures.

Responsibilities:
Performs various accounting functions that are the most complex in nature pertaining business analysis, invoice regularization, surplus recovery and communication with vendors and Citi business users.
Resolves the most complex issues, financial reporting fiscal and tax issue among others.
Trains new hires or new team members within work unit and provides day-to-day guidance to lower level employees.
Manages workflow and interacts with other departments.
Makes decisions within established guidelines, and incumbent has latitude to decide appropriate action to resolve issues in areas where prior precedence has been established.
Communicates with other departments, external customers and/or clients.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience in an Accounts payable end to end process. Understand in general terms each of the processes that make up the E2E of the accounts payable process from the receipt of invoices to their processing and payment with all the intermediate activities that may be involved.
It is required to have a basic level of knowledge about accounting processes such as assets, liabilities, capital, income, expenses, the basic accounting equation and the AP base accounting cycle in addition to the identification and knowledge of the systems used in the organization for the execution of invoice processing, UAT, certificates, etc. related to its processes
It is required to have a basic-intermediate level in P2P Oracle system in order to obtain the correct required information where applicable in addition to useful reports for the role.
Intermediate/Advance:It is important for this role that you can communicate in English in the reading, writing and verbal areas at an intermediate/advance level in order to have more fluid communication with internal or external stakeholders and/or suppliers where appropriate
Data Analysis:Demonstrate abilities to conduct a detailed analysis of the reported or detected cases of the accounts in charge to establish and implement the action plan for the resolution of each one using prioritization criteria and a sense of urgency necessary according to the criticality of the same, establishing resolution dates and detailing the actions that each individual involved must take to resolve the issue in the determined time.
Good communication skills in Spanish and English, problem solving approach.

Education:
Bachelor degree (accounting, finance, taxes, etc)
Fluent English is Mandatory
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Knowledge with Macros or Programation is desirable
