We utilize tools, process and knowledge to integrate and maintain Akamai security, media, and performance solutions for our clients.

As a Security Architect, you will turn compliance guidelines into business requirements.
You will also shape tech specs and frameworks for use by internal teams and external assessors.
Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, you'll learn how Akamai's web-scale systems work.
Guiding the company to efficiently meet our security obligations.
As a Security Architect, you will be responsible for:

- Owning the technical aspects of security integrations from creating/updating configurations, testing, debugging, and deployment
- Being a proactive technical consultant for our customers, delivering value with every engagement
- Analyzing customer web traffic.
Customizing Akamai security solutions to address potential threats and vulnerabilities for our Web Security Business Unit
- Working with Akamais Prolexic DDoS service to help mitigate DDoS attacks for our costumers
- Participating in training initiatives to develop your skills, reviewing/improving the security posture of our existing/new products
- Monitoring current security standards and monitoring advancements in information security technologies to ensure organizational adaptation and compliance
**Do what you love**

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, another related field or its equivalent.
- Possess a deep understanding and knowledge of protocols such as DNS and HTTP/HTTPS
- Ability to demonstrate understading of DDoS and associated attack vectors
- Have experience with industry compliance and security standards including PCI and GDPR
Be able to review system designs, identify security risks and suggest ways to mitigate these risks
- Be a highly organized self-starter comfortable working both independently and with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrate written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content in English
