Job Description - Full Stack DevOps Architect

**Title**:
Full Stack DevOps Architect

**Location**:
Remote, based in Costa Rica

**Job Overview**:
**Key responsibilities include**:

- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated code deployment using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Utilize IaC tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources.
- Ensure system security through the implementation of industry-standard security best practices and AWS security services.
- Collaborate with software development teams to adopt DevOps practices, including integration of code quality checks, automated testing, and proactive monitoring into the development lifecycle.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development and operations teams in DevOps methodologies and AWS best practices.
**Preferred Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, VPC, Route 53, IAM) and understanding of AWS architectural best practices.
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and database architecture within a cloud environment.
- Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language (e.g., Python, Ruby, Java) and script languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.
