**Your Role and Responsibilities**

Role & Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale software and solutions.
- Performs expert programming tasks.
- Participates in code reviews and can sign-off on large features.
- Can sign off on test plans.
- Influence and drive a distributed team of engineers across squads/tribes to continuously deliver highly scalable distributed software.
- Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects and customer escalations.
Be the technical point of contact to sales and delivery teams to provide right solution recommendations and technical guidance.
Participates in requirements gathering with a customer.
- Provide leadership to a guild(s) of relevant areas to influence across tribes.
- Manage across multiple project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Assist in estimation of efforts required for feature development and roadmap planning.
- Given a large, poorly understood problem, can explore the solution space (possibly with numerous POCs) to determine correct course of action.
- Participates in and support initiatives outside of main area of responsibility.
- An approachable mentor who is viewed as an expert and acts like one.
Constructively challenges assumptions.
Guides junior engineers to correct solutions while encouraging collaboration.
- Chart a shared path forward those balances both the short product launch needs and strategic initiatives.
Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on technical goals, outcomes, and timelines.
- Partner with executive individual contributors, leads, and product managers across orgs to accelerate new software/offering releases.
Understand and influence the evolving technology landscape and customer choices.
Experience/Skills/Qualification:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, with a focus on data structures, algorithms, and API design.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in software development (Recommended).
- Hands on technical leader, thought leader, coder of coders.
- Has depth in chosen field of specialization (full stack, front end, back end, performance, mainframe etc.)
and known as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Ability to handle first of a kind complexity - should be able to code up prototype or Proof of Concept (POC).
- Understands the scope and relationship of large features and production stack for their area as well as dependencies between work products of different team members.
- Ability to pull diverse technical approaches together to seamlessly integrate work products across team(s).
- Owns design and significantly contributes to architecture.
- Owns standards and best practices.
Works across functions, quality, performance etc.
- Experienced Agile practitioner
- A good understanding of solution landscape in open source, has an opinion.
Responsible for technical delivery of a product or a significant module within a product.
- Strong communication skills to articulate technical architecture and concepts at an appropriate level of detail.
- Cognizant of when new toolsets should be adopted to replace toolsets that are no longer supported or have limited functionality.
- Prolific contributor to eminent technical entities like IEEE.
- Technical leader (formally or otherwise) for a small to medium sized team.
