The AP business specialist position reports to the Accounts Payable Team Captain.
The position performs various accounting and accounts payables tasks on a daily and monthly basis, including indexing, invoice processing, troubleshooting, and maintaining financial reports and reconciliation.
**Responsibilities**:
Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges

Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors

Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices

Build strong networking and relationship across the Teams owners

Focus on the oversight, administration, and review of all invoicing activities, including invoice approvals, vendor payment management, contract review, root cause analysis

Comply with internal control evaluations

Assist with special projects, internal and external requests, and other business segment accounting teams

Monitor aging invoices regularly to avoid delayed payments to vendor

Contact vendors promptly on disputes to ensure quick resolution

Assist during the annual audit by providing accounts payable documentation upon request.
Participate in Month End Financial Closings

Data entry of invoices into Coupa

Document and update current SOPs

Qualifications:
**technical requirements**:

- 1+ year of effective, working knowledge of all accounts payable processes and procedures
- Technical degree in business administration in Accounting or Accounting (or in progress)
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
- Strong market knowledge and experience in working across various functions, businesses, and regions
- Knowledge of US GAAP is a plus
- Knowledge of Coupa or other ERPs
- English level B2+
