As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on the Akamai Zero Trust Cloud Platform
- Analyzing and improving the security, stability, speed, and capacity of Akamai Zero Trust production network
- Automating new cloud service deployments
- Monitoring, troubleshooting Akamai cloud services to ensure SLA is met and adequate capacity is available.
- Analyzing logs and events from the cloud service and providing recommendations to ensure smooth service operation.
- Participating in on-call rotation with other members of the SRE team.
**Do what you love**
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 5 years of relevant experience and a bachelors degree in engineering or related discipline
- Have large-scale cloud-based Infrastructure: AWS (must), VMWare, Azure, GCE
- Have experience with deployment and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet
- Set up, configure and maintain load balancers, proxies, nginx and Postgres
- Be experienced with monitoring and analytics such as Prometheus,, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Sensu
- Work with SAML, Kerberos, NTLM, OIDC, Oauth2 and IDP vendors such Microsoft, Okta
- Be experienced in Ubuntu, shell/Python scripting, understanding of HTTP/S and related web technologies
- Possess excellent troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve infrastructure/customer issues
