We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join Thomson Reuters. This role processes information related to the payroll function.

**About the Role**

In this opportunity, as a Payroll Specialist you will:

- Process one or more of the following: new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes,

deductions, direct deposits, time sheet data, rate changes, retroactive adjustments and special pays.
- Maintain vacation, sick leave and worker's compensation records.
- Compile reports on base and premium pay.
- Post entries to journals and ledgers; prepares tax deposits and reports.
- Generate and distributes checks; and researches and produces special reports.
- Assist compensation staff in data gathering for compensation survey inputs.

**Scope and Impact**

Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional

deviation from accepted practice.

**Relationships: Internal / External**

Normally follows established procedures on routine work; requires instructions only on new

assignments.

**About You**

You’re a fit for this role of Payroll Specialist if your background includes:

- Ability to resolve both routine and non-routine issues.
- Good communication skills and service attitude.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment.
- Team player.
- Knowledge of payroll systems.

**Certifications / Education**

High school diploma.

**Professional Experience**

Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience supporting payroll processes for Latin America countries.
