The Regulatory Support and Controls (RSC) team in Moody's Investors Service Operations is responsible for the execution, support, remediation and controls of processes and enabling technology that support the end-to-end credit rating process and regulatory-mandated processes. RSC is looking for an AVP Ops Analyst to join the team.

This AVP Operations Analyst represents a key role that will provide local leadership and mentorship to the Regulatory Support and Controls team and lead and implement projects that are important to the execution of Moody's Investors Service strategies.
- Develop and maintains an understanding of all operational processes and controls, along with the supporting technologies, implemented by the RSC team in Costa Rica
- Provide leadership and guidance to local Regulatory Support and Controls team in coordination with the global team and process leaders. Coordinate with local and regional Moody's Investors Service leadership.
- Demonstrate Subject Matter Expertise on the end-to-end Rating Processes controls review and testing, global Regulatory Policies and Procedures and supporting operational procedures and guidelines
- Continuously seek out opportunities to streamline and standardize business processes and improve operational controls and efficiencies
- Lead cross-functional projects and process re-engineering/remediation activities that support the global processes and impact team activities in Costa Rica
- Support the successful transition of global projects, process enhancements and controls to Business As Usual
- Generate recommendations and status reports
- Manage a team and/or activities related to control reviews and monitoring
- Drive discussions with the analytical community, operations, technology and other Moody’s teams (e.g., Risk Management, Compliance, Legal, etc.) to develop and implement project plans and process/controls enhancements
- Undergraduate BA/BS degree in business, finance/economics, management or similar field; MBA a plus
- 8+ years of operational business process management and/or business analysis experience with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in leading small teams and coordinating activity within a global organization
- Ability to interact comfortably with different levels of management and articulate/present issues clearly and succinctly
- Strong leadership skills and an ability to set direction, ensuring working groups meet project deliverables
- Self-starter and standout colleague with ability to meet tight due dates and lead multiple, exciting priorities
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to reach across organization to successfully resolve requests/inquiries
- Highly organized and efficient, with an attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Experience leading global, cross-functional projects and teams required
- Ability to supervising, facilitate, negotiate, and resolve interpersonal or inter-team conflicts
- Excellent PowerPoint skills and knowledge of MS Excel and Word
- Knowledge of Moody’s rating systems, analysis tools and operational processes a plus
