The Regulatory Support and Controls (RSC) team in Moody's Investors Service Operations is responsible for the execution, support, remediation, and controls of processes and enabling technology that support the end-to-end credit rating process and regulatory-mandated processes. RSC is looking for an AVP Ops Analyst to join the team.

This AVP Operations Analyst represents a key role that will own global Document Management Operations team as well as provide local leadership and guidance to broader the RSG team located in Costa Rica. The individual in this role will:

- Run the global Document Management Operations team responsible for supporting the process of retaining key rating process information to meet regulatory obligations. The team is primarily located in Costa Rica and India.
- Develop deep Subject Matter Expertise on the record retention process along with regulatory and internal requirements and work with the Process Owner to identify and implement improvements.
- Continuously seek out opportunities to streamline and standardize business processes and enhance operational controls and efficiencies
- Develop knowledge of the end-to-end rating and other processes process supported by the RSC team along with global Regulatory Policies and Procedures
- Provide leadership and guidance to local Regulatory Support and Controls team in coordination with the global team and process leaders. Coordinate with local and regional MIS leadership.
- Develop and maintains an understanding of operational processes and controls, along with the supporting technology(ies), performed by the RSC team in Costa Rica
- Support the successful transition of global projects, process enhancements and controls to Business as Usual
- Drive discussions with the analytical community, operations, technology, and other Moody’s teams (e.g., Risk Management, Compliance, Legal, etc.) to develop and implement project plans and process/controls improvements
- Undergraduate BA/BS degree in business, finance/economics, management, or similar field; MBA a plus
- 8+ years of operational business process management and/or business analysis experience with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in leading small teams and coordinating activity within a global organization
- Ability to interact comfortably with different levels of management and articulate/present issues clearly and succinctly
- Strong leadership skills and an ability to set direction, ensuring working groups meet project deliverables
- Self-starter and standout colleague with ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple, challenging priorities
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to reach across organization to successfully resolve requests/inquiries
- Highly organized and efficient, with an attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience running global, cross-functional projects and teams required
- Ability to supervise, facilitate, negotiate, and resolve interpersonal or inter-team conflicts
