**The Opportunity**

This position is based in **Costa Rica **for our Nutrition Division. Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow, to keeping adult bodies strong and active. Millions of people around the world count on our leading brands - including Similac®, PediaSure®, Pedialyte®, Ensure®, Glucerna® - to help get the nutrients they need to live their healthiest life.

As the **District Manager **you will coaches, guides and supervises Sales Force to ensure goals and sales according to expectations, providing administrative and tactical sales management to nutrition sales representatives, while effectively utilizing budgeted funds allocated to all territories within the district/territory assigned and upholding promoting corporate policies and objectives. This role contributes to the long-term growth of Abbott Nutrition products in territory by increasing awareness among Health Care Professionals on the important role of nutrition in improving quality of life, and the superiority of Abbott products to competitor brands. Coordination and supervision of the staff, Sales Force Efficiency (SFE) management and develop the respective reports necessary for the company’s guidelines contentment.

**What You’ll Do**
- Gain new business and grow existing business through an omnichannel, customer engagement strategy that builds HCP confidence in and loyalty to Abbott brand products. Develop KOL relationships to promote the Abbott brand and influence the perception of Abbott products as the brand of choice, by HCPs in all specialties and at all levels.
- Analyze market, category and channel opportunities within territory/area using real-time omnichannel business intelligence to identify opportunities for market share growth at the customer/account level. Leverage business analytics and customer insights to conduct on-going analysis of growth potential throughout the region and create an omnichannel engagement strategy to establish Abbott as the brand of choice throughout the region.
- Develop and support the execution of account plans using an integrated customer omnichannel engagement strategy. Drive the business through proper resource allocation and budgeting, deploying marketing programs to target customers and accounts tracking the program and initiatives impact/success.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and accounts across digital, remote/virtual and face to face channels to increase awareness and loyalty to Abbott brand products. Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Analytics and SFE to gather and interpret customer and market behavior data, translating omnichannel engagement data into real-world activities.

**Required Qualifications**:

- University degree, graduated from the Pharmaceutical, Nutrition fields area.
- MBA in Business Administration, Science or Marketing is desired.
- 4 years minimum experience in successful leadership/selling experience in a pharmaceutical company or medical sales company is required.
- Digital skills: Microsoft Office (Excel) Proficiency with appropriate computer programs.
- Language skills, English: medium level

Availability to travel within the country assigned. Some international business travel may be required.
