The lead accounting analyst is a key member of the RTR Team, responsible for being the first escalation point of contact for internal customers, track, evaluate and propose improvements to the operational performance of RTR team.

**What you will do**:

- Perform complex account reconciliations and MEC processes and complex accounting issues
- Identify and lead opportunities to improve, automate, simplify, or standardize processes; creates projects to execute on those opportunities.
- Coordinate closing and other key deliverables assigned by Supervisor.
- Coordinate migration of R2R processes from countries in scope.
- Review and approve Journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statements as assigned.
- Build monitor and report operational metrics to Supervisor and Management on a regular basis.
- Assess training requirements for new/ or existing team members.
- Ensures documentation of processes and procedures are properly updated and approved.
- Responsible to execute assigned SOX controls and other activities related to internal and external audit requirements.
- Work closely with markets and local accounting teams to resolve discrepancies, issues, and queries in a timely manner by escalating to Supervisor as required.
- Build strong relationship with key stakeholders.
- Be an active leader in the Issue resolution team.
- Supports ad-hoc tasks and requests as needed.

**Education & special trainings**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field with a strong accounting background.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Intermediate level: PivotTables, VLOOKUP, macros, charts, formulas, etc.)
- English level B2+
- SAP systems knowledge is a plus

**Qualifications & experience**:

- 5+ years of relevant working experience preferably from Finance background in General Accounting activities: Journal entries processing, Account Reconciliations, Financial Reporting and Analysis, fixed assets, etc.
- Experience of working in a shared service center across a global /large organization/ matrixed international company (preferably American or Multinational company) will be an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX is a plus

- Strong analytical and technical accounting skills
- Detail oriented, versatile, highly motivated, deadline driven, and ability to communicate effectively.
- Highly organized with demonstrated ability to meet commitments within strict deadlines
- Flexibility in scheduling due to business requirements (i.e., month-end close)
