**JOB OPPORTUNITY IN ECO-TOURISM- ADMINISTRATIVE/OFFICE ASSISTANT**

**Job Type**:Semipart time to Part time work contract position

**Schedule/hours: (Flexible)**
- Ranging from 10 to 20 hours a week with an average of 15 hours per week.
- Flexible schedule during the morning hours 8 am - noon (if mornings are not possible, please let us know se we can see if we can accommodate afternoon hours instead)
- Pre-approved flex time is possible on an occasional basis

**Salary**:Paid hourly - starting pay based on experience

**Start Date**:Negotiable between July and August, 2023

**Description**:We are seeking a dynamic self-starter to assist our tour coordinator with operations, reservations and logistics for a mid-sized birding/nature-focused tour company in Costa Rica. Must be detail oriented, organized and time-efficient.

**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Make and manage reservations and confirmations for hotels, tour providers, transportation etc.
- Create hotel availability maps for tour coordinators
- Create travel logistics documentation
- Compile and prepare documents for tour guides
- Report back to Tour Coordinator for any additional tasks
- Request rates and policies from Hotels
- Basic account-keeping and filing
- Rate data entry for pricing sheets
- Manage calendar with important dates such as payments due and release dates
- Other miscellaneous office administrative duties

**Required**:

- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Manages time and works efficiently
- Proficient in English (must be able to read and understand written English well)
- Great telephone communication skills in Spanish
- Proficiency in google sheets, google docs, google drive, gmail, google calendar and all other google drive programs

**Desired but not required**:

- Adequate written and spoken English is a plus
- Social media and marketing skills are a plus
- Experience in eco-tourism, birding, travel in Costa Rica is a plus
- Experience with basic graphic design using Canva or similar

- Able to prioritize tasks in order of importance and timelines
