We're searching for a Orthodontics Advisor II, reporting to the
**Director, Orthodontics-CR** who will be responsible of supporting the different teams of the Setup area, providing them with clinical advice in all stages of the smile plan creation process. Their support is fundamental to ensure that the best protocols and criteria are followed, to treat each dental malocclusion with the best quality, using SmileDirectClub clear aligners.

In addition, they must guide the continuous improvement in the different clinical related processes and/or teams setting new parameters, protocols, and changes in procedures when opportunities are detected.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor the “preassessment” queue, preventing the case from surpassing 2 days and continuing the normal flow, as well as monitoring the percentage of disqualifications.
- Review the treatment plans that are consulted and require approval, to offer the best possible treatment plan.
- Analyze all cases consulted to define whether they are treatable with our product. For this screening process the Orthodontic Advisor is responsible for deciding if the case can be proceeded in production with specific instructions, if it requires a Clearance prior to the aligner therapy (Periodontal, Mixed Dentition or Cavity) or if the case must be disqualified due to its complexity.
- Clinical Evaluation of Touch Ups, IC o MCT that requires direct communication with the customer, this means that the new Treatment Plan does have major changes comparing with the initial Treatment Plan, which are escalated for technicians, Team Leads or Dental Team.
- Clinical evaluation of the request for the ELP review to assess whether such request is possible or if the ELP should be informed that it cannot proceed because it is outside the parameters and protocols of SDC.
- Provide clinical guidance on questions regarding tooth mechanics, the accuracy and predictability of certain movement plans and the overall acceptability of tooth movement plans.
- Participation in Call Review to give clinical support if necessary.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert on clear aligner treatments and orthodontic best practices for Set Up Core Teams and dental technicians.
- Provide oversight, performance management and mentoring for a group of dental technicians and support staff.
- Review tooth movement plans, dental impression scans and other types of output from the team to identify training needs and process improvement opportunities.
- Take the assigned portable computer home every day, in order to maintain connectivity to SDC and ability to perform required tasks offsite if required.
- Follow SOPs, internal policies, and requirements
- Ability/flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and technical level

Qualifications:

- Orthodontic license.
- +2 year of combination experience in private practice and administrative dental as a dentist.
- 1 year of experience with clear aligner treatment.
- 1 year of experience as an Orthodontist.
