Your Role
The Design Center Assistant is responsible for managing the daily operations and materials within the Costa Rica Office Design Center. Please note that the start date of the role can be flexible, however, you must be available for a minimum duration of six months.
What You Will Do
- Management, organization, and maintenance of all Design Center materials and samples
- Oversee procurement, organization, labeling, and product knowledge of Gensler designed product samples.
- Develop product knowledge and usage strategy for Design Center materials to be incorporated into trainings and info sessions.
- Sorting, packing, shipping, and receiving of materials, samples, and Design Center resources for return and removal.
- Scheduling and following up with vendors for material pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain professional relations between the firm, consultants, and vendors.
- Update and manage vendor directory and vendor relations.
- Track sample intake, requests, and vendor correspondence for reporting and analytics.
- Manage internal documentation for vendor presentations within the Design Center.
- Support Design Center trainings, info sessions, and presentations.
Your Qualifications
- BA in Interior Design or related field
- 2+ years of experience in Interior Design or related field
- Fluent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Knowledge of and experience using a variety of internal and external research and product resources to seek out future trends, review new products and innovations, and to host learning events.
- Understanding of sustainability and resilience
- Outstanding self-motivation and multi-tasking qualities
- Exceptional organizational, communication and follow-up skills
- Creative, detail oriented, highly motivated, resourceful, team oriented, enthusiastic, high energy
