**Job Overview**:
Mercury Financial is seeking a skilled Microsoft Office 365 Administrator with a strong focus on Exchange Online, security, and compliance. As part of our IT team, you will manage, optimize, and secure our Office 365 environment, with a primary emphasis on Exchange Online. Your expertise in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Exchange Online, as well as ensuring compliance with data security regulations, will be essential to the success of our organization's digital communication and collaboration.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Office 365 Management:
- Administer and manage user accounts, licenses, and permissions within the Office 365 environment.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement security best practices to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor and manage security features such as multi-factor authentication, data loss prevention, ATP, EOP, and encryption.
- Implement and enforce security best practices for Office 365, focusing on Exchange Online.
- Monitor and manage security threats, including phishing attempts and malware, and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.
- Configure and maintain data loss prevention (DLP) policies to prevent the unauthorized sharing of sensitive information.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to industry regulations and data protection standards.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Set up and manage Microsoft Teams, enabling effective communication and collaboration among team members.
- Configure SharePoint sites and libraries for seamless document sharing and version control.
- Troubleshooting and Support:
- Troubleshoot and resolve service disruptions and outages in a timely manner.
- Documentation:
- Maintain detailed documentation of Office 365 configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Create user guides and training materials to assist users in utilizing Office 365 effectively.
- Performance Optimization:
- Monitor and analyze system performance to identify and address potential bottlenecks or areas for optimization.
- Implement strategies to improve the overall performance and responsiveness of Office 365 services.
**Preferred Qualifications and Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of prior experience as a Microsoft Office 365 Administrator or similar role.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Office 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Strong understanding of security best practices, compliance requirements, and data protection within the Office 365 environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact with end-users and explain technical concepts clearly.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Security Administrator Associate) is a plus.
