- We have the most extensive company and corporate structure information combined with sanctions and other adverse data on third parties, and the individuals behind them. Our customers range from the biggest global banks to small start-up fintechs and our data helps to minimize their reputational risk exposure. We are a team made up of dedicated sales and marketing professionals as well as experts in technology and product strategy who are all passionate about understanding our customers’ business needs.
Role/Responsibilities
- This role will be responsible for supporting the business during the presales process through to successful closure of deals. The responsibilities involve working with other sales colleagues and other internal stakeholders to drive the sales process for a set of complex products or services, including growing the client base, assisting the sales team during the process for new business generation, providing expert knowledge on Moody’s Analytics compliance solutions, and leading effective product demonstrations and proof-of-concept exercises.
- Build and execute on sales strategies to meet or exceed annual sales goals and targets that align with the company’s vision and objectives.
- Work with sales colleagues and other internal stakeholders to drive the proof of concept (POC) process in the sales cycle.
- Support the development of new business within assigned territories. Partner with Sales Specialists to develop clear, concise proposals and deliver targeted client demos that address client needs.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Product Strategy to promote improvement in product quality and the development of new sources of revenue.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by identifying gaps and recommending solutions leveraging market and technical knowledge.
- Provide insightful and client-specific technical guidance on product questions including responding to functional and technical queries of RFIs and RFPs
- Assess the needs of the client by gaining an understanding of the specific issues facing the client based on their business requirements.
- Identify additional products and services that clients may benefit from and introduce them appropriately into dialogue with clients.
- Represent company at industry and company-sponsored events, as required.
- Translate emerging market themes and regulatory requirements into product requirements to future proof our solutions; identify valuable white space; build cases for product development and improvement.
- Position requires travel (approximately 20% to 40% of your time).
**Qualifications**:
- Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) required, with coursework in business, economics, finance, marketing or related fields.
- 10+ years’ experience working in direct business-to-business sales roles, product roles, or sales engineering roles, with a focus on serving financial services and/or corporate customers.
- Ability to provide detailed demonstrations of products & services.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance such as AML, KYC, and Sanctions Compliance is desirable
- Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to interact with senior executives both internally and externally.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment, with focus and high attention to detail.- For San Francisco positions, qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered for employment consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.

- For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $ 109,200 to $158,250, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
