Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Participate in database administration on-call rotation.
  • Work independently on assigned projects and complete as per required timeline.
  • Troubleshoot issues by following a systematic technique to diagnose and fix.
  • Create and update documentation of all processes and procedures.
  • Enhance manual steps by utilizing appropriate automation tools.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and additional meetings as needed.
  • Stay current with the latest technologies and help influence optimization and upgrade of technology.
  • Ensure strict levels of security configuration and patch level is maintained as per applicable standard.
  • Be a good team player by helping overall team perform well.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 2 Years of Oracle Database Administration
  • At least 1 Year of Oracle RAC and Dataguard.
  • At least 1 Year of SQL and Bash shell scripting
  • At least 1 Year of Linux knowledge including basic commands for troubleshooting and performance monitoring.
  • At least 1 Year of Version control systems like Github.
  • At least 1 Year of AWS RDS experience.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • NoSQL technologies like CouchDB
  • Change Data Capture
  • Automation tools including Ansible and Terraform
  • OS and DB performance tuning skills
  • SQL and PL/SQL knowledge
  • Data model and Stored procedures review
