Data Analytics & Performance Specialist

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Data Modeling: Design and create strong and scalable Power BI data models that precisely depict the underlying e-commerce data. Optimize data models for enhanced performance and efficiency.
  • Report Development: Develop advanced Power BI reports and dashboards customized to meet the specific requirements of sales teams. Include interactive visualizations, KPIs, and drill-down functionality for in-depth e-commerce performance analysis.
  • E-commerce Analytics: Liaise with stakeholders to grasp business needs and convert them into meaningful metrics and insights. Formulate measures, calculations, and DAX expressions to back complex e-commerce sales analytics.
  • Data Integration: Collaborate closely with data engineers and architects to ensure smooth integration of e-commerce data sources into the Power BI environment. Execute data transformations and cleansing as necessary.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and enhance the performance of Power BI reports and data models. Identify bottlenecks and apply solutions to boost query performance and report rendering speed.
  • Documentation and Training: Record data models, report designs, and development procedures. Offer training and assistance to sales teams on effectively utilizing Power BI reports to steer decision-making.
  • Stay Updated: Keep well-informed about the latest trends and top practices in Power BI development, data modeling, and e-commerce analytics. Continuously seek chances to upgrade skills and knowledge.

Who You Are

  • University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Technology preferred.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Power BI Developer or similar position, concentrating on e-commerce sales analytics.
  • Excellent English proficiency both verbally and in writing. Minimum B2 competency level in language.
  • Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power Query, DAX, and M Query.
  • Advanced computer skills required, especially in MS Excel.
  • Thorough understanding of data modeling principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying is a must.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Capability to navigate through uncertainty and constant change.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver professional content to both in-person and virtual audiences.
  • Ability to conduct teleconferences in an international setting.
