Job Description:


GFT is looking for a professional Business Analyst to facilitate the transformation of our business requirements into epics and user stories.

The professional must have a good understanding of the software development life cycle using the Agile approach to facilitate fluid and effective work with the Scrum Team.

This position requires strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Product Owner and Lead BA in leading, directing, and reviewing all activities associated with delivering technology products.
  • Interfaces with the Product Owner and Lead BA to define and document requirements for the product.
  • Assists the Scrum Master, Lead BA, and Project Manager with status reporting as required by executive leadership.
  • Manages the product backlog with the Product Owner and different leaders to prioritize requirements, as well as define/manage the scope and sprints for the project.
  • Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders, be they customers, the project team, or end users.
  • Conducts interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
  • Analyzes and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
  • Works with the development team and QA resources to develop and execute test plans, test scripts and all other deliverables and activities related to quality assurance.
  • Creates documentation including requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, feature descriptions, user guides, process flows, training materials, FAQ's, wireframes, etc.
  • Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.
  • Communicates changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements — verbally or through written documentation — to the Lead BA, Project Manager, Scrum Master, Product Owner, Sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
  • Works with the Product Owner, Lead BA, and clients to plan and execute user acceptance testing.
  • Responds proactively to both business and project issues and escalates appropriately.
  • Responsible for product quality, project timeliness, and customer satisfaction.

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business analysis, technology, business administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience supporting multiple software projects in various IT roles.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in business and/or system analysis.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in quality assurance.
  • Must have indepth knowledge of software development lifecycles including Agile development and testing.
  • Experience working with both onshore and offshore teams.
  • Experience in dealing with multiple projects and crossfunctional teams, and ability to coordinate across teams in a large matrix organization environment.
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills as well as creative problemsolving skills.
  • Possesses the ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to exercise independent judgment and act on it.
  • Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail and a penchant for process improvement.
  • Highly selfmotivated and directed.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
  • Ability to explain difficult concepts to nontechnical users.
  • Experience in Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD).
  • Experience with reviewing test plans, automated test scripting, and load/stress testing.
  • Experience with Atlassian products
