The Financial Operations Account Receivable team is seeking an individual who is driven, creative, results-oriented, and passionate about becoming part of a top-notch credit monitoring team.

The Senior Financial Analyst Global Credit is responsible for examining and assessing credit models for Amazon's global clientele.

By delving deep and utilizing a variety of data points, this individual will proactively pinpoint credit risks while also establishing scalable processes and technological solutions.

**In the role of Senior Financial Analyst of Global Credit, you will analyze data trends, encompassing external market data and internal payment/collection histories, to gauge risk levels.**

Our internal partners rely on us to devise innovative and effective solutions, delivering outstanding outcomes. You will collaborate with diverse teams worldwide, overseeing and analyzing our global credit process.

**You will actively engage with our technical counterparts to develop tools on Amazon's AWS platforms, study crucial trends, and use business intelligence to interpret the data's narrative.**

As a Senior Financial Analyst Global Credit, you should feel comfortable working autonomously in a dynamic setting. You excel at prioritization, producing results across multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform financial statement and industry analysis to recommend customer credit risk ratings to Amazon's business partners.
  • Review analysts' credit rating recommendations, offering feedback and mentorship.
  • Assist the Manager Global Credit in crafting and enhancing credit models for assessing customer risks by channel.
  • Take charge of credit rating, monitoring, and influencing appropriate collections actions across a significant business segment portfolio.
  • Collaborate with offshore teams at the forefront to represent customer perspectives and align on optimal credit monitoring procedures.
  • Produce and deliver documents/analyses for business reviews with stakeholders, including weekly channel business reviews.
  • Help delineate and document requirements for developing and implementing proprietary credit risk management tools.
  • Stay informed of market trends and furnish credit information to Amazon's business partners upon request.

About the Team:

Our team offers credit-monitoring services to Amazon's various businesses, furnishing insights into portfolio risks and performances. We collaborate with collections teams to enhance free cash flow with a credit-centric focus.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related analytical fields such as engineering, mathematics, or computer science; or a Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years of experience in a quantitative role (e.g., engineering, process reengineering, quality assurance).
  • 5+ years of experience in finance or related analytical fields.
  • 4+ years of experience solving complex business issues by providing precise and timely financial models, analyses, and recommendations that demonstrably impact the business (e.g., financial savings, operational enhancements, or customer benefits).
  • Proficiency in driving process enhancements through automation and analysis.
  • Experience in conducting ad hoc analyses using advanced Excel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CFA or MBA.
  • Proficiency in SQL/ETL.
  • Proficiency in Python Pandas and timeseries forecasting tools.
  • Experience engaging in continuous improvement initiatives within your team to scale up and enhance controllership, yielding measurable outcomes.
