The Process, Platform and Analytics & Insights Lead plays a key role in overseeing global Source to Pay processes, platforms, analytics & insights, continuous improvement, and M&A support.

This position involves shaping the strategic direction of this function to consistently enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and colleague experience throughout the entire S2P process, while also ensuring the successful implementation of these capabilities.

It is a prominent role that involves collaborating closely with senior leaders and teams not only within S2P but also in other areas such as Digital.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide sourcing intelligence capabilities, such as reporting, metrics, analytics, forecasts, and insights on procurement and payables data
  • Develop solutions that offer market intelligence to facilitate insights and decision-making
  • Evaluate current operational performance, aid strategic initiatives, and offer regulatory reports
  • Define and monitor KPIs to assess the effectiveness and impact of analytics initiatives on procurement performance, cost savings, and operational efficiency
  • Supervise overall cost reduction efforts through strategic sourcing and negotiations
  • Oversee external benchmarking and industry research to identify best practices and emerging trends in sourcing analytics
  • Direct the creation of TCO calculations to guide allocations while considering supplier relationships and future collaboration impact

Process

  • Responsible as the business process owner for S2P processes, ensuring compliance and driving modernization based on leading market practices
  • Establish global processes for S2P (e.g., sourcing, contracting, invoicing) and collaborate with functional owners to define and track suitable KPIs
  • Identify opportunities for standardization, optimization, and process automation
  • Support S2P stakeholders in identifying continuous improvement opportunities

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead continuous improvement and optimization initiatives across S2P
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize initiatives that enhance efficiency and colleague experience
  • Develop business cases and monitor ROI of improvement initiatives

Platform

  • Establish and update the S2P technology roadmap
  • Manage all sourcing, procurement, contracting, and payables systems/tools, focusing on enhancing user experience through improved functionality
  • Develop and execute a digital/AI strategic roadmap for S2P to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate user experience
  • Monitor the external landscape and build business cases for next-gen applications
  • Collaborate with Digital to ensure proper system functioning, budget-friendly feature implementation, and issue troubleshooting

M&A Support

  • Lead integration activities for mergers/acquisitions and separation activities for divestitures on behalf of S2P

People Management & Development

  • Establish and lead a high-performing team of S2P members
  • Provide coaching and development to team members

Team Management

  • Oversee a global team of 40+ resources
  • Manage people managers & individual contributors reporting to this position

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Business, Computer Science, Operations & Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • At least 15 years of experience in S2P analytics or S2P process improvement
  • Strong analytical skills, experience with data, and profound understanding of procurement and supply chain management
  • Considerable experience in developing sourcing analytics strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Extensive experience managing teams for process improvements utilizing methods like Lean Six Sigma
  • In-depth knowledge of S2P technologies and platforms
  • Familiarity with key industry trends and best practices
  • Robust Project Management background
  • Ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders cross-functionally
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and thriving in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • MBA or master's degree in data science, strategy, management, or related field is advantageous
  • Over 8 years' experience delivering advanced analytics and insights OR implementing software solutions for data automation, visualization, and modeling
  • More than 8 years of relevant work experience creating end-to-end solutions for performance measurement and process enhancement
  • Background in leading teams and strategic initiatives within the pharmaceutical industry

  • Annual base salary ranging from $191,300.00 to $318,000.00, participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan, bonus eligibility, and share-based long-term incentives
