Global Construction Engineering (GCE) is responsible for the design and engineering of all of Intel's major manufacturing and cleanroom projects across the globe.
We are a team of specialized in-house architects and engineers in a highly collaborative environment.We work together with our factory, operations, and supply chain partners to deliver some of the most technically challenging projects in the world with a demanding schedule and cost constraints.

As a Design Manager your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Be a consultant for any construction Project.
- Provide project leadership for technical engineering and design execution.
- Assemble a team of engineering specialists and assess the feasibility of new projects.
- Lead the development of a more detailed scope through field walks and collaboration with facilities operations partners and project engineers. Work with the project AE (Architect and Engineering Firm) partners to level the workload in a way that maximizes efficiency and predictability and meets our internal customer needs.
- Detailed design and construction performed by our worldclass supply chain partners.
- Serve as the Owner's representative to provide technical guidance and issue resolution and act as the primary escalation point for our design suppliers, internal factory customers and trade contractors.
- Lead Engineer who defines design criteria, lead scope definition, and justification and develop design concepts.
- Oversee the completion of positioning, programming, and detailed design.
- Work with estimators to ensure costs are captured and project budgets are met.
- Help build initial cost forecasts and help ensure project cost adherence through implementation and execution of the change control process to improve standards and drive innovative solutions.
- Build and drive safety Culture of Caring in every business environment, office to the construction sites, and from frontend planning to construction execution.
- Fluently bilingual (Spanish/English) communication skills.
- Excellent communication of technical topics and strong presentation skills.
- Willing to communicate strategic and tactical concepts across a wide range of partners, customers, employees, and management.
- Highly team and qualityoriented.
- Willing to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines, organizations, and geographic boundaries.
- Champion and value the safety Culture of Caring throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position,
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering related field.
- 4+ years of experience in Project management in design or construction.
- Advanced English level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in an Engineering related field with 3+ years of experience in project management in design or construction.
- Experience in industrial, semiconductor, hightech, and cleanroom projects.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction contract documents.
