We are looking for a Transfer Engineer Senior Manager to join our team. Primarily responsible for working in collaboration with our customers taking their ideas from rapid prototyping into high volume production by leading and guiding the team responsible for transferring of the product and processes.
This role requires a strong blend of technical, process engineering, people management, and business acumen to provide manager-level leadership for our rapidly growing technology portfolio. The ideal candidate has previously worked as a design or process engineer and has exceptional management and customer facing skills. This person will also have current, direct experience managing, developing, and growing direct reports, and the ability to establish and develop strong, collaborative, focused relationships with internal stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Under the direction of the Director of Engineering, be responsible for process transfers from validation to Ramp Up. This by coordinating engineering activities, studies and programs in support of standard production and new product development & transfers.
Manage a team of engineers and technicians responsible for achieving robust and stable processes that maximize yields, efficiencies and process capabilities.
Responsible for training engineers, technicians and operators as well as provide mentorship and career development support to engineers and technicians Interface and collaborate with New Product Development, Sustaining, Quality, and Equipment Engineering groups.
Develop strategic processing goals and objectives and integrate processes into Lean value streams. Responsible for planning, executing and supervising process transfer related to Confluent Technologies (i.e., Delivery systems, Balloon Catheters, Guidewires, Access Kits, Nitinol Products & Frames, Steerable Ablation Catheters, Steerable Guide Catheters)
Provide critical input for design and build of equipment required for processes. Support and provide equipment guidelines and tooling modifications for process improvements.
Documentation of design ideas and technical drawings
Set priorities and timeline for development projects.
Responsible for documentation of studies in engineering memorandums and work instructions.
Identify, investigate and develop new technologies for processing our product portfolio.
Responsible for team budget and capital appropriation based on sound testing and demonstrated feasibility. Keeps management informed of project accomplishments and major problem areas as well as budget and schedule status. Plays leadership role in establishing engineering standards, policies, strategies and best practices
Setup and validate production lines for manufacturing. Supervise internal technical reports.
Designs, develops, and deploys engineering solutions in multiple, diverse environments and applications Responsible for ensuring that subordinates follows all company guidelines and policies.
Practice company safety, quality policies and procedures, actively requires conformance. Responsible for performing manufacturing reviews and pre-validation assessments to ensure the safe and environmentally sound start-up of new processes.

Supervision: Direction: receive guidance with respect to general objectives; in the majority of tasks and projects assigned, determine methods, work sequence, scheduling, and how to achieve objectives of assignments; operate within specific policy guidelines.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor degree in relevant discipline such as Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering.
Advance Studies on Medical disciplines would be a plus. 8-10 years of experience in rols related, also experience in the medical device industry and six-sigma certification would be an asset.
Advanced english level
Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES : Must possess more than a basic understanding of engineering and development of medical devices theoretical fundamentals. Individuals at this level should be leading the team on skills related to problem solving methodology, group leadership and difficult coordination requirements. English communication skills, written and oral. Statistical knowledge is required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
MANUAL DEXTERITY : Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers.
VISION REQUIREMENTS: No special vision requirements
WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS: Monday – Friday.
TRAVEL: Minimal overnight travel.
