The BA will likewise act as first line support to break fix of reports used across the global organization as well as perform
project- and stakeholder management of priorities for new report development or continuous improvement of existing.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
• Executes report repairs and new report development independently in SAP Business objects, MS PowerBI, Excel VBA, etc.
• Executes validations and quality assurance of data and reports.
• Identifies areas of opportunities through powerful business insights emerging from data analytics.
• Partners with stakeholders from value stream teams, engineering, sales, supply chain, finance, R&D, IT and management both inside Costa Rica and globally.
• Maintain a continuous improvement mindset and work with management to obtain buy in for data lead improvement programs.
• Perform other duties as directed by management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Intermediate to advanced programming skills and experience with PowerBI and DAX is required. Experience with SAP Business Objects is strong advantage.
• Ability to learn new business processes and quickly identify the information flows to uncover areas for improvement and developing and implementing solutions.
• Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
• Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
• Basic knowledge of project management. PMP or equivalent desired.
• Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex data in simple and concise insights to technical as well as non-technical staff.
• Proficiency with programs such as Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point, is a must.
• Ability to communicate well in English, both orally and written.
Work Environment:
• Sitting for extended periods of time.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, hand tools, and to handle other computer components.
• Lifting and transporting of moderate to heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
Experience:
• 2-3 years of experience with business intelligence and analytics in business environment or related field.
• Experience with Python, C, VBA, Java, SQL or similar languages is considered advantage.
• A track record of developing solutions and following through on commitments.
Education:
• Engineering degree in IT, industrial engineering, business administration, programming or similar
