Job Function Summary:
The EHS Engineer is responsible for making a safe and sustainable work environment at Coloplast CAR production site, and meet the health and safety needs of the task force. EHS engineer is accountable for LTI (Lost time Incident) rate matches the goal required by Coloplast, and make sure CAR site environment is in a safe condition to work, provide all support needed to different departments of CAR regarding EHS as well. Also responsible for EHS system tracking, including audits and system maintenance.
Major Areas of Accountability:
Tracking of LTI (Lost Time Incident) rate and execute related activities necessary to achieve the CAR site LTI goal. Maintain the status of the Management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and organize all activities as defined in the system. Conduct EHS audits and regular visits in all areas, ensure correction of dangerous conditions or behaviors. Register NCRs, Near-misses and initiate actions to solve EHS issues. Conduct andorganize EHS trainings at all organization levels. Investigate root cause of accident and near-misses and take actions to avoid them in the future. Prepare and implement procedures and instructions based on legal and standard requirements. Manage the safety brigade activities, provide the proper training, tools, and guidance by being the safety brigade leader. Generate risk assessment procedure for production/maintenance/warehouse equipment and processes, manage all activities related. Execute EHS approval of new equipment and assess state of the existing units or processes. Keep CAR site up to date with all legal requirements needed and keep tracking of changes in the EHS scope. Evaluate ergonomics in workplaces. Update or prepare all reports required by corporate EHS office. Approve work permits for external/internal workers. Prepare EHS reports, statistics, and data analysis. Conduct EHS machine safety approvals, and execute all EHS related readings (noise, air pollution, Keep contact with EHS suppliers and manage their activities based according to their contracts. Prepare and be part of internal audits, control the related documentation. Execute EHS communication plan. Prepare EHS communications and keep them up to date. Coordinate CAPA and Change Control System activity Keep EHS databases updated. Execute on boarding training for new employees. Take part in the preparation of the yearly training plan and execute related activities. Ensure fire system complies with all insurance company (FM Global) and local fire department requirements, execute, and track necessary inspections/tests for the different components of the system, keep needed documentation available and updated. Keep tracking of all chemical safety datasheets and ensure to be updated and available for CAR site working force. Execute and control all new chemicals ingress to the site and ensure they comply with EHS procedures and statements. Responsible for all environmental and waste handling related activities. Supervise safe execution of activities performed by contractors and ensure proper work permits are completed, approved, executed, closed, and archived.Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, occupational health engineering or related qualifications experience in engineering or relevant field. Minimum experience of 4 years. Proven experience as EHS engineer. Deep knowledge of ISO systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001). English level B2.Preferred qualifications:
In-depth understanding of ISO standards and their implementation. Familiarity with quality standards and regulated industry.
