SAP PP QM Analyst

Coordinating with a team of internal functional specialists on both the Emerson Run Support Team and the Emerson Change Team as well as third parties, the SAP ERP Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the deliverables of the workstream are performed completely and with the right level of quality, as well as ensuring that the workstream integrates and coordinates with other workstreams in the delivery of Support activities. The SAP ERP Analyst will need to work with internal and/or external resources to manage issues and gaps in interface functionality, SAP PP/QM configuration and user exits. 

The PP/QM Analyst will be responsible to learn the PP/QM designs in all the Emerson Enterprise SAP Systems and recommend/drive improvement and design standardization opportunities that result in a lower support complexity. 

This role will act as a contributor for PP/QM related RUN/Support projects, automation and related change.

Principal Functional Responsibilities

Responsible for execution of SAP PP/QM bug fix & minor enhancement implementation Participate in weekly PP/QM meetings with internal & external counterparts. Audit processes performed by third parties to ensure compliance to Emerson standards. Design and implement SAP PP/QM configuration & customizing in Emerson Automation Solutions SAP Systems Represent PP/QM in Stakeholder/Relationship meetings. Review all PP/QM Functional Specifications created by third parties & change team. Receive Knowledge Transfer from the change team. Execute ticket resolution, change delivery, and release delivery within the Emerson Automation Solutions Run Support Team. Provides functional/technical expertise in the SAP PP/QM module. SAP Configuration proficiency in given system module. Able to solve complex SAP technical issues. Strong SAP integration knowledge with PP, FICO, SD and VC modules. Translates business requirements into detailed technical/functional specifications.  Collaborates and communicates with ABAP, Basis, Security and other relevant teams to ensure proper planning, development and execution of all work. Collaborates and communicates with Business teams to optimize solution delivery and scheduling. Ensures that new business processes/business requirements are documented qualitatively and that they are validated with the expectations of the customer. Execution of workstream activities primarily for RUN Support and minor enhancements across multiple systems. Ensure that workstream activities are progressing according to plan, and ensure delays and issues are identified and mitigating actions taken. Oversee & execute system testing & regression testing as required. Serve as the escalation point for RUN PP/QM issues for business users as well as internal & external PP/QM counterparts. Carries out all activities following Emerson processes, policies and procedures. Any other PP/QM related task assigned.

Job Qualifications

Education: Four (4) year degree or equivalent experience Language: English is mandatory  Desired: Chinese, Japanese, German, Italian  Others: 5-7 years in a SAP PP/QM Role

Experience

A minimum of 5-7 years strong technical skills in implementation and support of SAP PP/QM in ECC  Experience with coordinating with multiple internal staff and consultants concurrently. Experience working in a heavily matrixed organization.  Strong analytical ability, process oriented and ability to manage complexity. Able to work independently against an established set of guidelines. Support experience in a global environment including coordination and alignment with multiple stakeholders 

Skills

Proficient utilization of MS Office, particularly Excel and Powerpoint Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Exceptional interpersonal skills. Experienced in the technical support of EDI, IDOC processing, Taxware & Tradesphere is preferred  Experienced in the technical support of interfaces as they relate to PP/QM (MES, Engraving/Tag creation, EDI, IDOC processing, Trax, & Tradesphere is preferred)  Comprehensive understanding of SAP's customizing toolset, including IMG (Implementation Management Guide). Comprehensive understanding of SAP data model in PP/QM Thorough business understanding of sales & manufacturing processes in a plant environment. Comprehensive understanding of SAP architecture.
