We are looking for a leader who can connect people, processes, technology and equipment to drive performance in a dynamic and technically complex manufacturing environment. 🔧 What you’ll doAs the Operations Engineering Manager, you will lead and optimize manufacturing operations while leveraging your engineering expertise to improve productivity, quality, safety, capacity and equipment utilization. Your responsibilities will include:
• 👥 Lead and develop a team of experienced professionals and technical associates, establishing clear goals, priorities and accountability.
• 🏭 Drive manufacturing performance, ensuring operational efficiency, productivity, quality, cost and safety objectives are achieved.
• ⚙️ Optimize equipment and processes, identifying opportunities to improve workflow, capacity, utilization, automation and overall operational effectiveness.
• 📊 Use data and engineering analysis to identify root causes, establish performance standards and implement sustainable improvements.
• 🛠️ Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting, testing, equipment performance and process improvement.
• 📐 Lead facility and equipment planning, including layouts, capacity planning, workflow optimization and efficient utilization of production space.
• 🔬 Evaluate and implement new technologies, techniques and manufacturing methods that can improve operational performance.
• 🤝 Partner closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations and other functions to ensure business and production requirements are met.
• 🦺 Champion workplace safety, process discipline and standardized practices across the operation.
• 📈 Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, cost, capacity and operational excellence. 🎯 What you bringWe are looking for an Operations Leader first, with strong engineering depth. You bring:
• 🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or a related technical field.
• 🏭 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or technically complex operations, with progressive leadership responsibility.
• 👥 Proven experience leading teams and driving operational results.
• ⚙️ Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, equipment utilization, troubleshooting and process optimization.
• 📊 Experience managing operational KPIs such as productivity, quality, cost, capacity, safety and efficiency.
• 🔧 Ability to understand technical problems, challenge assumptions and work effectively with engineering and technical teams.
• 🔄 Experience with continuous improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, DMAIC or similar methodologies is highly valued.
• 🌎 Experience in a complex manufacturing, electronics, refurbishment, medical device, aerospace, automotive or similarly technical environment is a strong plus.
• 💡 A practical leadership style: someone who is comfortable discussing strategy with senior leaders and walking the production floor to understand what is really happening. 📍
