PURPOSE OF JOB: The Automation Engineer is acritical role within our organization, dedicated to streamlining and optimizing business processes by harnessing the potential of automation tools and techniques. Working together with the Automation Architects, Data Engineers, and the business this role ensures the successful implementation and enhancement of automation solutions to drive efficiency and innovation. Leveraging Microsoft's Power Apps and Power Platform, as well as other leading RPA, low-code, and no-code tools, the Automation Engineer translates business needs into automated solutions that are scalable, reliable, and user-friendly. This position demands a combination of technical prowess, collaborative spirit, and a passion for continuous improvement, enabling the business to achieve its objectives more effectively and responsively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborative Design: Partner closely with the Automation Architect to understand the overarching automation strategy and align on project priorities, design decisions, and implementation techniques. Tool Implementation: Utilize Microsoft's Power Apps and Power Platform, along with other RPA tools, to design, develop, and deploy automation solutions based on business requirements. Low-Code/No-Code Development: Harness the potential of low-code/no-code platforms to rapidly prototype, test, and deploy applications and processes that cater to immediate business needs. Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and refine existing automation workflows to ensure they remain efficient, up-to-date, and aligned with evolving business requirements. Documentation & Training: Create comprehensive documentation for developed solutions, ensuring clarity in design, purpose, and usage. Provide training sessions and materials for end-users to ensure seamless adoption and utilization. Troubleshooting & Support: Offer timely technical support for automation-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Implement fixes and improvements based on feedback and observed challenges. Stay Current: Continuously research and stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in the automation space. Recommend new tools or techniques that can enhance the organization's automation capabilities. Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with various departments and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure the delivered solutions align with their expectations and needs. Integration and Scalability: Ensure all developed solutions are scalable and can integrate seamlessly with existing systems, databases, and applications. Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous testing procedures for all developed automations, ensuring their reliability, accuracy, and performance before deployment to a production environment. A master’s degree is an advantage. Certifications in Microsoft Power Apps, Power Platform, or other relevant RPA and low-code/no-code platforms are preferred. Years of

Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in automation engineering, including experience with RPA, low-code/no-code platforms, and systems integration. Proven experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Platform is a must. Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders at all organizational levels. Hands-on experience building and deploying automation workloads on Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Functions, Storage, Service Bus, Logic Apps). Experience applying AI/GenAI tooling (e.g., Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, AI Builder) to automate or augment business processes. Skills and/or Specific Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Power Apps and Power Platform. Strong understanding of RPA tools and methodologies. Expertise in low-code/no-code application development platforms. Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. Familiarity with integration tools and techniques for syncing data across multiple platforms. Proficiency in scripting languages relevant to automation tasks (e.g., Python, JavaScript). Deep understanding of user experience principles, ensuring developed solutions are intuitive and user-friendly. Knowledge of database structures and data retrieval methods. Familiarity with cloud platforms, services, and deployment methodologies. Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and its components commonly used for automation (e.g., Functions, Storage, Service Bus, etc.) to build secure, well-monitored solutions. Working knowledge of AI-based development and solution design with AI services and APIs (e.g., AI Foundry, AI Builder, etc.), with the ability to apply them to automation use cases.
