Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Hotel Accountant with a strong background supporting U.
S.-based hospitality operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on hotel accounting experience, a solid understanding of U.
S. accounting principles (GAAP), and experience working with hotel management systems, month-end close processes, and financial reporting for hotels or hospitality groups.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily accounting activities for one or multiple hotel properties.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card transactions, and balance sheet accounts.
• Monitor hotel revenues, occupancy reports, ADR, and financial performance metrics.
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Review and reconcile hotel revenue streams, including room revenue, food & beverage, events, and other services.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with U.
S. GAAP and internal financial controls.
• Support external audits and tax-related requests.
• Collaborate with hotel operations leaders and corporate finance teams. Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of hotel accounting experience.
• Experience supporting U.
S.-based hotel operations.
• Strong understanding of U.
S. GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial analysis.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal). Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with hotel systems such as:
• M3 Accounting
• Oracle Hospitality
• Opera PMS
• Sage Intacct
• NetSuite
• QuickBooks
• Multi-property hotel accounting experience.
• Experience working in shared services or remote accounting environments.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
