About us
Hanseatic Global Terminals (HGT) is a fully owned subsidiary of Hapag-Lloyd. Operating from Rotterdam, HGT manages a portfolio of stakes in 21 terminals and complementary logistics services across 11 countries across 5 continents: Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Africa
- with plans to expand its stakes to over ~30 terminals by 2030. At HGT, we are a highly motivated team of experienced international professionals who believe that growth in any partnership comes from trust and dedication. Our commitment to provide highly efficient terminal operations that are safe, sustainable, and reliable is rooted in a simple yet powerful vision: “offering exceptional service quality at all times.” At APM Terminals, a global leader in port and terminal operations, we enable global trade and drive sustainable growth. What drives us forward is a mindset of always improving — observing how work happens, identifying what creates value, and removing what gets in the way. We constantly look for smarter, simpler, and safer ways of operating. If you thrive in environments where people value learning and are committed to continuously improve daily operations, join us and be a part of our journey. The project The Sunset Consortium, made up of Hanseatic Global Terminals and APM Terminals, is leading the development and modernization of Puerto Caldera, the main port complex on Costa Rica's Pacific coast. Having won the public tender, the consortium will carry out an investment plan of around 500 million dollars, which includes major infrastructure works and the acquisition of new state-of-the-art equipment. Operations are expected to begin in September 2027, providing a modern and competitive solution along Costa Rica's Pacific coast. The position The Head of Asset Delivery will lead the end-to-end delivery of all physical assets for the development and modernisation of Puerto Caldera: civil works, quay and yard, cargo-handling equipment, and IT/OT systems. Because this is a brownfield project, the role must make sure new works and equipment are integrated safely with the existing infrastructure, and that port operations continue throughout execution with as little disruption as possible. The Head of Asset Delivery makes sure every asset is built, tested and handed over to Operations and Maintenance safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards, ready for the start of operations planned for September 2027.
