This is a full-time position is to work in Shift B: M-F 3:30pm to 10:00pm and Sat 6:00am to 3:36pm in our Heredia site located in Zona Franca Metropolitana.
Our Maintenance Supervisors manage all the maintenance activities of the company related to facilities and manufacturing equipment as: Molding Machine and Ancillary Equipment. Sub-assembly and Assembly Equipment. Facilities Equipment.
Main Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain and achieve a work environment free of accidents attached to compliance with all EHS procedures.
Manages and provides leadership for the functional group’s development, direction, and effectiveness, adhering to organizational policies and processes and supporting overall business and corporate objectives.
Assure that all technicians apply all maintenance procedures. At the same time improve the procedures as required.
Control and coordinate the execution of the maintenance (preventive and corrective) on the BMRAM software
Support, attend and provide reports required in internal and external audits in VIANT Costa Rica.
Support, attend and lead the repairs of any equipment included in the schedule of the competent area.
Support the production personal with coaching about how to operate machinery and equipment in a safe and productive manner.
Develop a strong and reasonable spare part list of the facilities and manufacturing equipment.
Facilitate the negotiation with the different areas to support the installation and maintenance of facilities and manufacturing equipment.
Schedule all the priorities according CR-QS-01616 and production requirements.
Ensure that all technicians are properly trained in policies, procedures and maintenance.
Foster a culture of teamwork.
Drive continuous improvement in the production process and the maintenance strategies in order to increase the availability of the equipment. Ensure the business continuity of the operation.
Maintains budget compliance in all facility maintenance budget areas.
Coordinate, supervise, attend and negotiate with to contractors activities related with his responsibilities and manages all necessary construction or alterations inside CEA´s, obtaining satisfactory results with quality according to the corresponding standards and norms of Viant Medical.
Establishes and maintains preventive maintenance schedules for all manufacturing equipment/tooling and other facility support equipment as required.
PM Recordkeeping per SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)
This person participates in the Value Stream Team as a team player.
Promote and updates the PM procedures and Forms in order to have the best availability and performance in facilities and manufacturing equipment.
This position coordinate with Facilities and Maintenance Engineer the improvement tasks required in equipment or infrastructure to implement them.
Execute and monitor the disciplinary actions and next step of your assigned work team.
Keep the maintenance workshop in optimal conditions, you must also make sure to coordinate the cleaning and distribution in the area.
Education Required (Qualifications)
Technical High School, Diploma or Technical degree. (Electromechanical, mechanical, electronic or electrical title) or similar.
English proficiency, intermediate.
Desirable (Qualifications)
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Industrial, Electric, Electronic, Industrial Maintenance Engineering or a related field.
Strong analytical and solving problem skills (RAM, ACR, DMAIC, SMED, AMFEC, and troubleshooting equipment for electrical/Mechanical standards).
Knowledge of control interfaces such as RTU, PAC, PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Ladder, Blocks, IL, and ST.
Knowledge of SolidWorks/AutoCAD software and SCADA/BMS/ERP systems.
Knowledge of low and medium electrical power.
Knowledge of Finance, Accounting, and Project.
Work Experience
5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance focused on the Industry (Medical Devices, pharmaceuticals, Electrical/Electronic or Food) or similar.
Experience supervising Teamwork and Leading projects, and knowledge of FDA, GMP, and ISO guidelines.
Skills / Competencies
Demonstrate strong communication skills and an excellent customer service attitude, detail-oriented, problem solver, and promoter of a team environment.
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, PLC programs, and specifications.
Strong mechanical and electrical ability and knowledge.
Good organizational skills and be willing to work flexible hours as required.
Flexibility: Availability person to care of unexpected situations.
The person need to be focused in details.
Must be a leader in his teamwork.
The person needs to be excellent modal for his team.
